Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated senior Congress leader VD Satheesan after he took oath as the Chief Minister of Keralam and assured full support from the Centre to the newly formed government.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Congratulations to Shri VD Satheesan Ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Keralam. My best wishes for his tenure. The Central Government assures all possible support for the newly formed Keralam Government in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.”

Satheesan’s swearing-in marked the return of a Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government in Keralam after a gap of 10 years.
A large crowd gathered at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram erupted in celebration as Satheesan rose to take oath as Keralam’s 13th Chief Minister.
Party workers waved flags and raised slogans as the Congress returned to office for the first time since the late Oommen Chandy-led government took oath in 2011.
The ceremony, held close to the state Secretariat, carried both political and emotional significance for Congress workers and supporters.
Satheesan, who turns 62 on Sunday, took oath in the name of God before thousands of attendees inside and outside the packed venue.
In a departure from convention, several senior national and state leaders shared the dais during the ceremony. Among those present were Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, outgoing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Veteran IUML leader PK Kunhalikutty was the second minister to take the oath, followed by senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala and Sunny Joseph.
The 21-member ministry includes 12 ministers from the Congress, five from the IUML and one each from Keralam Congress, Keralam Congress (Jacob), CMP and RSP.
