PM Modi’s Path To Power: A Photo Gallery Of His Inspiring Journey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born in Vadnagar, a small town in Gujarat, to Damodardas and Heeraben Modi. His father ran a tea stall at the railway station, while his mother was a homemaker.

PM Modi, the third of six children, grew up in modest circumstances that deeply influenced his values.

PM Modi’s schoolmates remember him as a curious and industrious child who loved reading and debating. He would often spend long hours at the local library, absorbed in books. Swimming was another favourite pastime.

These simple childhood experiences laid the foundation for his disciplined and self-motivated character.

PM Modi’s early involvement with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) introduced him to the principles of service, discipline, and nation-first thinking.

From serving in Gujarat to becoming India’s longest-serving non-Congress Prime Minister, his journey has been marked by a focus on development and strong governance.

A Life That Inspires Millions

As he turns 75, PM Modi remains one of the most admired democratic leaders worldwide. His story—from humble beginnings to global prominence—continues to inspire aspiring leaders across the world.

Early Life and Commitment to Service

According to narendramodi.in, service has been a defining aspect of PM Modi’s life from a young age.

At just nine years old, he and his friends set up a food stall to raise funds for flood relief efforts after the Tapi River floods.

During the peak of the war with Pakistan, he also served tea to soldiers heading to and returning from the border.

At 17, PM Modi left home to travel across India and later joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a socio-cultural organisation.

His days at the RSS began early at 5:00 AM and extended late into the night. As a young man, he actively participated in the movement against the Emergency.

Deeply influenced by Swami Vivekananda, PM Modi’s spiritual and service-driven outlook took shape early on.

In 1968, he married Jashodaben; the couple lives separately and has no children.

PM Modi’s Political Journey

PM Modi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1985. He served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister for four terms between 2001 and 2014.

On May 26, 2014, he became India’s 14th Prime Minister and is currently serving his third consecutive term.
