A Delhi-bound aircraft carrying Prime Minister Narendra Modi experienced a technical snag at Deoghar Airport in Jharkhand on Friday, officials confirmed. The issue caused an unexpected delay in the Prime Minister’s return to the national capital.
According to officials familiar with the matter, the technical issue was detected before takeoff, prompting immediate safety protocols. The Prime Minister’s security and travel arrangements were however swiftly reviewed to ensure his safety.
Efforts were made to rectify the issue, and an alternative aircraft was reportedly arranged to facilitate the Prime Minister’s return to Delhi. The delay led to temporary disruptions in the flight schedule at Deoghar Airport.
Airport authorities, along with senior officials from the Air Force and aviation agencies, coordinated closely to address the situation. “The safety of the Prime Minister is of utmost importance, and all protocols were followed meticulously,” an official stated.
Unprecedented Incident At Deoghar Airport
This incident however marks a rare occurrence at the recently inaugurated Deoghar Airport, which was launched earlier this year as part of the government’s regional connectivity initiative. The airport has been a critical hub for the region, enhancing access and development opportunities in Jharkhand.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) regarding the delay. However, sources indicated that the Prime Minister remained composed throughout the situation.
