PM Modi Vows ‘Crushing Blow’ To Terrorism After Pahalgam Attack

PM Narendra Modi has directed the Indian Armed Forces to deliver a decisive and crushing response to terrorism following the brutal attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, including many tourists.

In a high-level emergency meeting, PM Modi empowered military leaders with full operational freedom to strike back at the perpetrators and their backers.

PM Modi Chaired Emergency Security Meeting Signals Imminent Action

Chaired by Prime Minister Modi, the emergency meeting included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Sources described the gathering as ‘extraordinary in urgency and nature’, underscoring the seriousness of the situation following the Pahalgam massacre.

PM Modi, according to government sources, declared, “India is determined to deliver a crushing blow to terrorism,” and assured military leaders of the government’s unwavering support in their operational decisions regarding ‘mode, targets, and timing.’

PM Modi Reviews Targets Terror Infrastructure

The top-level meeting focused on reviewing actionable intelligence and assessing military options.

The officials reportedly scrutinised the terror infrastructure across the border, with particular attention to Pakistan-based groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The strategy aims at dismantling these networks and punishing those responsible for harbouring and enabling terrorism.

Military On High Alert Along Borders

In response to the heightened threat, India has placed its forces on high alert along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border.

Surveillance assets, including drones, satellites, and electronic intercepts, have been deployed to track terrorist movements and launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Government Responds With Diplomatic And Strategic Measures

In the wake of the Pahalgam tragedy, the Centre has taken swift and significant steps.

These include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and expelling Pakistani nationals on short-term visas.

These measures serve both as a warning and a prelude to further action.

Nation Braces For Retaliation

While official details of India’s counter-operation remain classified, sources indicate that plans for a powerful retaliation are underway.

PM Modi had earlier promised to hunt down every terrorist and their supporters to ‘the ends of the earth’, a commitment that now appears to be in motion.

As Delhi locks its crosshairs on the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack, the country stands united and poised for a response that could significantly alter the regional security landscape.
