PM Modi Tweets “A memorable selfie with my friend Nazim”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi graciously fulfilled a request for a selfie with Mr. Nazim, an enterprising beneficiary from Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir.

During his visit to Kashmir today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a memorable selfie with a fan at a rally, symbolizing a moment of connection with the people. The fan, Nazim, a beneficiary of the Viksit Bharat program, had the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister during the event and requested a selfie, to which PM Modi happily obliged.

Sharing the moment on social media platform X, PM Modi expressed his admiration for Nazim’s commendable work, wishing him success in his future endeavors. This interaction underscored the Prime Minister’s commitment to engaging with individuals and acknowledging their contributions to society.

Earlier in his address at a public gathering in Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium, PM Modi reaffirmed his government’s dedication to winning the hearts of the people in the Valley. He emphasized his continuous efforts towards this goal, assuring the audience of his unwavering commitment.

The event, titled “Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir” at Bakshi Stadium, witnessed the inauguration of several projects aimed at fostering agricultural and tourism development in the region. PM Modi’s presence at the event signifies the government’s ongoing initiatives to promote growth and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.

Despite facing criticism from regional and opposition parties following the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, PM Modi’s visit and engagement with the people are viewed as part of his campaign efforts leading up to the upcoming general elections, expected to take place in April and May. This election will mark the first since the region’s autonomy was revoked, with the last legislative assembly election held in 2014.
