Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on November 19 during a national event in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
He will address farmers across India virtually and interact with beneficiaries of the flagship income-support programme.
Gujarat will host a state-level event in Gandhinagar, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani, and Minister of State for Agriculture Ramesh Katara will also attend.
The Chief Minister will distribute approval letters and assistance to beneficiaries under PM-KISAN and various agriculture and horticulture schemes.
Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani said the government will credit over ₹18,000 crore into the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers nationwide under this instalment.
In Gujarat alone, 49.31 lakh farmer families will receive ₹986 crore directly through DBT.
Alongside the main event, ICAR institutes, state agricultural universities, central agricultural universities, and Krishi Vigyan Kendras will organise local programmes.
These centres will live-stream the Prime Minister’s address. A large turnout of farmers, officials, and public representatives is expected at these locations.
PM-KISAN has emerged as one of India’s most impactful farmer welfare schemes.
Since its launch in 2019, the initiative has provided income support to over 11 crore farmer families, releasing more than ₹3.91 lakh crore across 20 instalments.
Gujarat’s farmers have received over ₹21,000 crore so far, significantly strengthening agricultural livelihoods in the state.
The PM-KISAN scheme aims to ensure steady financial support for small and marginal farmers.
The government transfers ₹6,000 per year in three equal instalments directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
This support helps farmers manage agricultural expenses, household needs, and seasonal uncertainties.
The scheme also reduces financial stress and boosts rural income stability.
With the rollout of the 21st instalment, the government reinforces its commitment to improving the welfare of India’s farming community.
As lakhs of farmers await their next instalment, the PM-KISAN programme continues to play a central role in strengthening rural economies and supporting agricultural growth.
