Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Tuesday. The three-day event will run from October 27 to 29.

The conclave will bring together leading scientists, researchers, academicians, policymakers, industry leaders, startups and international experts. They will discuss emerging technologies and India’s science, technology and innovation priorities.

Deliberations will cover 12 key areas, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, advanced materials, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, climate science and ocean research.

Participants will explore research priorities, strengthen national capabilities and identify ways to turn scientific breakthroughs into practical solutions.

The event will feature a technology and innovation exhibition showcasing indigenous scientific achievements.

Around 150 deep-tech startups will display their innovations and demonstrate potential applications across various sectors.

The conclave will host the Global Connect Networking Event. More than 300 invited participants from Indian and international academic institutions, research organisations and industries will explore research partnerships, industry-academia collaboration and ways to bring laboratory innovations to market.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will showcase emerging space technologies.

At a curtain-raiser event, ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said the exhibition would feature a model of a proposed next-generation heavy-lift launch vehicle. The vehicle aims to carry payloads weighing over 30,000 kg into low Earth orbit.

ISRO will further showcase the Chandrayaan-4 and Chandrayaan-5 missions, which are part of India’s plans for human exploration of the Moon.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is organising ESTIC 2026 under the guidance of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government.

The conclave aims to strengthen India’s science and innovation ecosystem in support of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
