Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked world leaders who extended their wishes on India’s 76th Republic Day. Replying to Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s post on X, PM Modi thanked him for his warm message and emphasized the strong historical ties between the two nations. Nepal PM Oli congratulated the people of India and wished for the flourishing of democracy and unity.
To Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, PM Modi expressed his commitment to strengthening the bond between the two countries. President Muizzu, in his greetings, highlighted the mutual trust and cooperation that have stood the test of time. PM Modi assured continued efforts to deepen their partnership.
Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay sent warm wishes on behalf of the Bhutanese people. In his reply, PM Modi said he appreciated the unique partnership between India and Bhutan. Similarly, former Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and former Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih also extended their congratulations. PM Modi thanked them for their kind words.
India celebrated the day with grandeur at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The event showcased 30 tableaux highlighting this year’s theme, ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas.’
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto served as the chief guest. Around 10,000 special guests, dubbed the architects of ‘Swarnim Bharat,’ attended the event. The celebration highlighted India’s cultural heritage and military prowess, with top leaders and delegates present.
India’s 76th Republic Day marked a milestone, reflecting its unity and progress on the global stage.
