Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a rally for BJP and MahaYuti candidates in Nanded on Saturday. He accused Congress of long-term exploitation of the people of Maharashtra, particularly the farmers of Marathwada, and vowed that only a MahaYuti government could bring the state the prosperity it deserves.
Congress’s Neglect of Maharashtra’s Farmers and Women
PM Modi highlighted Congress’s historical neglect of Maharashtra’s farmers, women, and children. “Congress has been the foundation of deterioration in the lives of Marathwada farmers. They have never cared about the concerns of the farmers, women, or children,” he said. Modi’s remarks painted Congress as the architect of Maharashtra’s past woes, while stressing the importance of a new political direction for the state’s future.
Confidence in MahaYuti’s Victory
Expressing confidence that the MahaYuti alliance will return to power in Maharashtra, Modi emphasized the crucial role the state plays in the nation’s development. “Only when Maharashtra prospers can India truly develop! For that to happen, we must ensure that every family in Maharashtra flourishes. The Central government and MahaYuti are working tirelessly to turn your dreams into reality,” the Prime Minister said. He urged the people of Maharashtra to elect MahaYuti candidates with a resounding victory to secure a brighter future for the state.
Modi further noted the growing enthusiasm for MahaYuti, asserting that people across Maharashtra were united in their desire for change. “Today, there is only one slogan on everyone’s lips: BJP – MahaYuti ahe, tar gati ahe. Maharashtra’s progress is tied to the MahaYuti government,” he declare.
BJP’s Success in Recent Elections and Momentum in Maharashtra
PM Modi pointed to BJP’s historic success in the Haryana elections, where the party secured the highest number of seats in its history, and expressed confidence that Maharashtra would follow suit. “The people of Maharashtra are going to repeat this history in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections.
Financial Assistance and Development in Marathwada
The Prime Minister also touched on the significant strides made by the Centre in improving the economic conditions of Marathwada’s farmers. He highlighted the Rs 80,000 crore investment made in the region over the last 2.5 years, which has created thousands of new jobs and improved infrastructure. Modi also mentioned the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, which is providing a new identity to the region.

“We have provided financial assistance to help soybean farmers overcome the crisis, and our efforts have opened up new avenues for employment and growth in Marathwada,” he added.
Empowering Women and Promoting Gender Equality
Modi praised the MahaYuti government for focusing on women’s empowerment, highlighting initiatives like the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.’ “We are committed to making Nari Shakti shine more than ever before! Women empowerment has been at the center of our government’s schemes for the past 10 years,” Modi said, stressing the importance of uplifting women across the state.
He noted that women were benefitting the most from government programs, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, where female heads of households were receiving the maximum facilities. “In families getting new homes, toilets, water and electricity connections, and cooking gas cylinders, it is the women who are seeing the greatest improvements in their lives,” Modi added.
BJP’s Commitment to National Development
The Prime Minister reiterated that India is advancing with the goal of national development, and the people of the country know that only BJP and its allies are genuinely working towards achieving this. “That is why the people of the country are electing BJP and NDA governments again and again. The country has given NDA a chance to serve for the third time in a row,” Modi said, adding that while the BJP lost in Nanded in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the region would be represented in Delhi this time.
Congress’s Divisive Politics and Betrayal of Babasaheb’s Constitution
PM Modi took aim at Congress’s alleged betrayal of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution, particularly through its handling of Article 370 in Kashmir. “After independence, Congress’s first betrayal of Babasaheb’s Constitution happened in Kashmir, where they implemented a different constitution through Article 370.
Modi also accused Congress of perpetuating a “Divide and Rule” strategy, aiming to divide communities and castes for its own political gains. “Congress wants to pit one caste against another, break the OBCs into factions, and weaken society. This is their tactic to snatch away reservation rights and further their selfish motives,” he alleged.
Vigilance Against Congress’s Divisive Tactics
The Prime Minister urged the people of Maharashtra to remain vigilant against Congress’s divisive politics and hidden agenda. “You must stay aware of Congress’s tactics to break and destroy the country. Remember, ‘Hum Ek Rahenge To Safe Rahenge’ (We will stay united to stay safe),” Modi concluded, calling for unity and strength to combat Congress’s efforts to divide the nation.
As Maharashtra heads to the polls, PM Modi’s message was clear: a vote for BJP and MahaYuti is a vote for progress, unity, and development. With his focus on empowering women, supporting farmers, and investing in regional infrastructure, the Prime Minister positioned the MahaYuti alliance as the key to a prosperous and unified Maharashtra.
