Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the Economic Survey 2025-26 presents a positive and confident picture of India’s economic trajectory. He described India’s growth journey as a ‘Reform Express’ that continues to move steadily despite global economic challenges.
After the Survey was tabled in Parliament earlier in the day, the Prime Minister remarked.
In a post on X, PM Modi said the Survey reflects the strength of India’s economic fundamentals and the government’s sustained reform efforts.

He stated that the document shows consistency, direction, and purpose in India’s reform agenda.
The Prime Minister said that years of policy reforms have reinforced macroeconomic stability. He added that these reforms have strengthened trust among investors, businesses, and citizens.
Prime Minister Modi noted that the Survey highlights robust growth momentum and resilient economic indicators.
PM Modi said the expanding role of innovation, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure stands out as a key theme.
He added that these sectors continue to drive transformation across the economy.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the Survey places a strong focus on inclusive development.
He said targeted efforts for farmers, micro, small and medium enterprises, youth employment, and social welfare remain central to policy planning.
PM Modi pointed out that initiatives such as digital expansion, a vibrant startup ecosystem, and large-scale infrastructure investments are emerging as powerful growth engines.
He said these drivers are creating new opportunities while strengthening India’s global economic standing.
Referring to the roadmap outlined in the Survey, the Prime Minister said it offers clear guidance for strengthening manufacturing capacity and improving productivity.
He added that the framework supports India’s long-term goal of becoming a developed nation.
PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to reforms that promote industrial expansion, skill development, and technological progress.
He said policy continuity and reform-driven growth will remain priorities.
The Prime Minister stated that insights from the Economic Survey will help shape informed policymaking.
He said the Survey will also boost confidence in India’s economic outlook.
