Following his meeting with Gowda, PM Modi addressed a rally in Sirsi, where he highlighted the government’s efforts to empower marginalized communities. He emphasized the historic representation of MPs and MLAs from SC, ST, and OBC communities in the ruling government, comprising 60% of the Union Council of Ministers. PM Modi also lauded the BJP government’s initiatives to uplift backward districts, transforming over 100 previously labeled as backward into Aspirational Districts. He noted that these efforts have uplifted more than 25 crore people from poverty over the past decade.
