The eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship event, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), commenced on Monday at 11 AM at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi. This annual initiative, designed to alleviate exam-related stress and foster a positive approach to learning, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents alike.
Broadcast live across multiple platforms, the event allowed students nationwide to engage with PM Modi’s valuable insights on exam preparation, stress management, and overall personal development.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students interacted with the Prime Minister, sharing their experiences and learning from his guidance. Many students shared how the interaction helped them stay motivated and focus on their academic goals without being overwhelmed by stress.
Akanksha, a student from Kerala, recited a poem in front of PM Modi, describing the experience as a ‘happy’ one. Her performance marked a special moment in the event, highlighting the celebration of student talents alongside academic advice.
During the session, PM Modi addressed students on the immense pressure linked to exam scores, emphasizing how societal expectations often create stress. He noted, “Our society is such that low grades create a tense environment in the house. This is something that you cannot teach your parents,” and advised students to focus solely on their personal goals without succumbing to external distractions.

Using cricket as an analogy, PM Modi encouraged students to remain focused: “A batsman ignores the audience and distractions and only focuses on the ball,” he said. He stressed the importance of embracing challenges, urging students to train their minds to push their limits. “You have to train your mind to understand how to challenge yourself. One should always push their limits,” he remarked.
The Prime Minister also spoke on leadership, stating, “A leader becomes a leader when he practices what he preaches and understands the issues of the people.” He added that respect is earned through actions, emphasizing, “Respect cannot be demanded. Your behaviour will earn respect for you; people accept actions, not just words.”
Another significant aspect of PM Modi’s address focused on maintaining physical and mental well-being during exams. He highlighted the importance of sleep, stating, “Absence of illness does not mean we’re healthy. Sleep is also dependent on nutrition. Medical science also emphasises the role of sleep.” The Prime Minister encouraged students to take care of their health, stressing that good sleep and proper nutrition are essential for success.
He also urged students to spend time in the morning sun for better health, prompting two students from the Northeast to share their practice of doing so during early morning assemblies due to the region’s early sunrise.
PM Modi also discussed the benefits of incorporating millet and vegetables into students’ diets, particularly during exam periods, to maintain holistic well-being. His remarks emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition to support both physical and cognitive performance.
This year’s edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha saw the participation of 36 students selected from various government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, and Navodaya Vidyalayas. These students had the unique opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister while also learning from motivational talks delivered by experts across diverse fields.
Looking ahead, PPC 2025 will feature seven insightful episodes, with renowned personalities such as Deepika Padukone, Sadhguru, Mary Kom, Vikrant Massey, and Rujuta Diwekar contributing to discussions on holistic development, managing exam pressure, and fostering a positive mindset.
With an unprecedented participation of 5 crore students, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a nationwide movement. Over the years, the initiative has grown into a ‘Jan Andolan,’ inspiring collective engagement in the celebration of learning, personal growth, and student well-being.
As the 2025 edition sets new benchmarks, it continues to empower students and educators to approach exams with confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
