Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of road projects worth over Rs 18,100 crore in Dausa, Rajasthan, and inaugurated the Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, tweeted, “A historical day in Indian road infrastructure development!! Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji dedicated to the nation the First Phase Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section of the #Delhi_Mumbai_Expressway and laid the foundation stone…”, through his official Twitter handle.

 

PM Modi said that today I am very proud to dedicate the first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the nation. It is one of the largest and most modern expressways in the country. This is another grand picture of developed India. I congratulate the residents of Dausa and the countrymen.

Further, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor are going to become two strong pillars of the progress of Rajasthan and the country.

These projects are going to change the picture of this entire region including Rajasthan in the coming times. He said that this modern connectivity will also benefit many tourist places like Sariska Tiger Reserve, Keoladeo, and Ranthambore National Park, Jaipur, Ajmer. Rajasthan has already been attractive to tourists from the country and abroad, and now its attraction will increase further.

PM Modi added that country progresses when such modern roads, railway stations, airports, and metros are built. For the last 9 years, the central government is also continuously making huge investments in infrastructure. Investment in infrastructure attracts even more investment.
