PM Modi Highlights INDI Alliance Leadership Struggle During Bihar Visit

In a scathing attack on the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed that the advancements made in the last decade surpass those achieved in the 60 years post-independence. Speaking at a public rally in Nawada, Bihar, he underscored the Central government’s bold initiatives for national development.

PM Modi continued his attack on the INDIA opposition bloc and said they had failed to select a leader. Addressing the rally in Nawada, he remarked, “The INDIA bloc can’t decide on a leader.”

Dedication to Poverty Eradication

PM Modi reminisced about the dire conditions pre-2014, expressing his commitment to poverty alleviation. He emphasized the struggles faced by the impoverished and pledged his dedication as a servant of the poor.

Empowering Rural Bihar

PM Modi outlined his government’s ambition to empower three crore ‘lakhpati didis’ in rural Bihar during its third term.

Decade of Significant Decisions

Highlighting the progress witnessed over the past decade, PM Modi stressed the significance of the 2024 elections, urging citizens not to miss the opportunity for further development. He praised the modern infrastructure projects underway in Bihar.

Acknowledging Nawada’s rich heritage, PM Modi paid tribute to historical figures like Chandragupta Maurya, Acharya Chanakya, Bihar Kesari Krishna Babu, and Loknayak Shri Jaiprakash Narayan.

Nitish Kumar Echoes Development Sentiment

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar echoed PM Modi’s sentiments, affirming the rapid development unfolding in the state and contrasting it with the state’s condition before 2005.

BJP’s Candidate and NDA Campaign

The BJP fielded Vivek Thakur, son of former Union Minister C P Thakur, as its candidate for the Nawada Lok Sabha constituency. The NDA campaign for the April polls commenced with Prime Minister Modi’s rally in Jamui.

Seat-sharing Arrangement

In Bihar’s seat-sharing arrangement, the BJP is contesting 17 seats, JD(U) 16, while the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas Paswan) competes for five seats. The Hindustani Awam Morcha and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party will contest one seat each.

The first phase of polling is slated for April 19 in Nawada, Gaya, Aurangabad, and Jamui Lok Sabha constituencies.
