On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the 10th International Day of Yoga celebrations in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

The event, held at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), was a grand success despite the morning rain.

Prime Minister Modi’s arrival seemed to bring a change in the weather as the heavy downpour ceased just as he stepped out to interact with the participants.

His presence was met with enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

After leading the yoga session, PM Modi spent over 40 minutes engaging with the participants on the lawns of SKICC.

He moved through the lines of attendees, exchanging greetings and sharing smiles, reflecting the warmth and enthusiasm of the gathering.

The Prime Minister’s interaction included taking selfies with young yoga practitioners, who eagerly waved and greeted him, delighted by his presence.

 

The personal engagement highlighted the communal spirit and unity fostered by the event.

Despite the initial rain, the International Yoga Day celebrations saw a significant turnout.

In his address, PM Modi expressed his joy over the participation, noting the impressive number of 50,000 to 60,000 attendees across Jammu and Kashmir.
