Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday participated in an energetic and culturally infused discussion with students from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, during the second episode of the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026.
The interactive programme simultaneously linked learners from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Devmogra in Gujarat, and Guwahati in Assam, giving the session a truly national character.
The interaction began on a cheerful note when students from Raipur greeted the Prime Minister with traditional local snacks, adding warmth and familiarity to the conversation.
They presented Thethri, a crunchy flour-based sweet, and Khurmi, a festive delicacy prepared using gram flour, jaggery, and semolina.

PM Modi tasted the dishes with visible appreciation and shared Khurmi with those around him, observing that while it resembles Maharashtra’s chakli, its jaggery flavour gives it a unique Chhattisgarhi identity.
As the discussion turned to examinations, the Prime Minister encouraged students to look at travel after exams as a learning exercise. He suggested exploring nearby areas first and paying attention to everyday experiences, from conversations to crowds, as a way to understand the country’s diversity more deeply.
On concerns about incomplete preparation and exam-related anxiety, PM Modi reassured students that whatever they study never disappears from the mind. He advised them to remain composed before the examination, rely on their efforts, and let go of fear.
Using the example of sport, the Prime Minister highlighted the value of consistent practice and learning through experience. He recommended helping classmates who find certain subjects difficult, explaining that teaching others strengthens one’s own understanding.
Addressing questions on leadership, PM Modi said leadership starts with individual action and responsibility.
Even small acts, such as maintaining cleanliness, can motivate others. He stressed that leadership is about clearly conveying ideas, not forcing opinions.
Students later said the interaction felt personal and inspiring, helping them feel calmer, more confident, and motivated as they prepare for their examinations.
