PM Narendra Modi addressed the implications of the recent Haryana Assembly election results on Wednesday, asserting that they reveal the Congress party’s divisive politics and underscore a public inclination toward development.
During a video conference marking the foundation stone laying of several development projects worth over Rs 7,600 crore, including the upgrade of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur and a new integrated terminal at Shirdi Airport, PM Modi commended the state for its expanding infrastructure.
PM Modi stated, “In Haryana, the Dalit, OBC, farmers voted hugely for the BJP,” noting that the youth and women also cast their votes in favor of the party for a promising future.
In a pointed critique, PM Modi accused the Congress of perpetuating fear among Muslims and manipulating caste divisions for electoral gain.
“Their strategy is to sow discord among Hindus to leverage political advantage,” PM asserted, highlighting what he described as Congress’s divisive tactics in elections nationwide.
Among the key projects announced, the Nagpur Airport upgrade, with an investment of Rs 7,000 crore, is likely to drive growth in sectors like manufacturing, aviation, tourism, logistics, and healthcare, benefiting not only Nagpur but the entire Vidarbha region.
Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for the New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport, with an estimated cost of Rs 645 crore.
This terminal will feature world-class amenities aimed at enhancing the experience of religious tourists visiting Shirdi, inspired by the spiritual significance of the ‘Neem Tree’ associated with ‘Sai Baba’.
As part of his commitment to improving healthcare access, the Prime Minister launched the operationalization of 10 Government Medical Colleges across Maharashtra, enhancing undergraduate and postgraduate seats while providing specialized tertiary healthcare in cities including Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, and Amravati.
Furthering his vision of making India the ‘Skill Capital of the World’, PM Modi inaugurated the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai.
This institute, a collaborative effort between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Government of India, aims to equip students with cutting-edge technology and hands-on training in specialized fields like mechatronics, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
Lastly, the Prime Minister introduced the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) of Maharashtra, designed to provide educational stakeholders – students, teachers, and administrators with vital academic and administrative data through innovative chatbots.
This initiative aims to strengthen resource management in schools and enhance communication between parents and the government, ultimately improving educational practices and student learning outcomes.
