Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, J P Nadda, also extended his greetings to the medical community, lauding their expertise and humanitarian spirit.
He further emphasized the critical role doctors play in society, particularly highlighting their contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the tradition began in India in 1991 to honor Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a distinguished physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal.
