Honouring Baba’s Legacy
The Prime Minister announced that the government has released a commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the occasion.
He called these symbols a tribute to Baba’s lifelong commitment to social welfare and humanitarian values. PM Modi extended his greetings to devotees, volunteers, and followers worldwide.
PM Modi highlighted that India’s spiritual traditions consistently uphold service as the core of devotion, knowledge, and action.
He noted that Baba placed seva at the centre of human life, inspiring generations to serve selflessly and work for the upliftment of the disadvantaged.
Calling his visit to Prasanthi Nilayam an emotional and spiritual experience, PM Modi said Baba’s teachings, love, and service-driven philosophy continue to illuminate millions of lives.
He paid respects at Baba’s Samadhi before addressing the gathering.

He praised the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust for continuing Baba’s mission in areas such as healthcare, drinking water, housing, nutrition, education, disaster relief, and clean energy.
Commitment to Social Welfare
The Prime Minister remembered Baba’s volunteers who were among the first to assist victims of the Gujarat earthquake.
He further said such acts reflect Baba’s vision of service that transcends boundaries of religion, caste, and nationality.
PM Modi also participated in the Gaudan ceremony, where Gir cows were distributed to farmers as part of the Trust’s animal welfare initiatives.
He said the Trust’s compassionate work continues to uphold Baba’s message of dedicated service to all living beings.
