Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday, where he provided an update on the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, a targeted military strike on nine terror camps across the border.
The operation was launched in the early hours of the day, following the deadly Pahalgam attack on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
Precision & Flawless Execution
During the briefing, PM Modi told the Cabinet that the forces carried out the operation exactly as planned, making no mistakes whatsoever.
He went on to highlight that the military had executed the mission with the utmost precision, strictly adhering to the detailed preparations made in advance.
The Prime Minister praised the armed forces for their ‘commendable job’ and their impeccable execution, underlining their professionalism and dedication to national security.
Cabinet’s Support For PM Modi’s Leadership
In a show of unity, the Cabinet ministers unanimously expressed their confidence in PM Modi’s leadership and, in the same breath, lauded the armed forces for their successful and decisive operation.
They conveyed their unwavering support for the Prime Minister and the military establishment in the ongoing fight against terrorism, stressing the nation’s collective resolve.
The strike targeted terror launchpads and camps used for infiltration along the border, sending a clear and strong message against cross-border terrorism.
The precision strikes were a joint effort by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, conducted as a historic tri-services operation.
India launched these strikes in direct response to the Pahalgam attack, further solidifying its stance against terrorism.
A Strong Message Against Terrorism
PM Modi closely monitored the operation throughout the night, ensuring that the forces executed the mission with precision and efficiency.
As a result, the successful strike not only demonstrated tactical excellence but also reinforced India’s firm resolve to safeguard its citizens from terror-related violence.
Details Of Operation Sindoor
The Indian Armed Forces conducted Operation Sindoor between 1:05 and 1:30 AM, targeting nine terror sites in Pakistan and PoK.
They named the operation in honour of the women who lost their husbands in the Pahalgam attack.
During a press conference, two women officers from the Indian Armed Forces- Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh- provided details of the strikes.
They explained that the operation was based on credible intelligence inputs and aimed to decimate terror infrastructure, including terror launch pads and indoctrination centres.
The women officers further documented the details of the military’s calibrated retaliation, providing a comprehensive account of the terror factories operating in the targeted locations.
The operation’s success is seen as a major step in dismantling cross-border terrorism networks and ensuring national security.
