Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday mounted a forceful political attack on the Congress, asserting that the Indian National Congress has transformed into a ‘Muslim League-Maoist Congress’ (MMC).
Addressing a public gathering in Ajmer, he alleged that the party habitually seeks opportunities to malign India’s global standing.
PM Modi declared that the nation would never pardon attempts to discredit the country and its armed forces.
He contended that undermining India’s military institutions had long characterised the Congress approach.
He further accused the party of neglecting soldiers during its tenure in office. According to him, the previous Congress administration failed to equip troops adequately and denied them the benefit of One Rank One Pension.
Referring to a recent international artificial intelligence summit in Delhi, the Prime Minister stated that global leaders, ministers and corporate heads lauded India’s technological advancement.
He contrasted public pride with what he described as Congress’s frustration over electoral setbacks. He alleged that the opposition attempted to embarrass India before foreign dignitaries.
Political Attack Intensifies
PM Modi argued that history reflected what he termed the ‘MMC mindset’, which he claimed had once fostered division.
He asserted that contemporary Congress politics mirrored that trajectory. He maintained that citizens would hold the party accountable for disparaging national institutions.
Citing military achievements, he referenced the Surgical Strike and Operation Sindoor as evidence of the armed forces’ capability.
Prime Minister Modi accused certain Congress figures of amplifying narratives aligned with adversarial interests.
Turning to Rajasthan, the Prime Minister criticised the previous state government for delaying strategic infrastructure projects.
He said initiatives such as the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project remained stalled until the present administration expedited implementation.
Prime Minister Modi emphasised that river-linking schemes would substantially benefit farmers under the ‘double-engine’ governance model.
PM Modi underscored Rajasthan’s solar potential, highlighting the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana as transformative for household energy security.
He announced development projects worth Rs 17,000 crore, aimed at boosting infrastructure and employment.
Addressing governance reforms, Prime Minister Modi noted decisive action against examination paper leaks and confirmed that 21,800 appointment letters had been issued to youth, marking what he described as systemic change.
