Prime Minister Narendra Modi affirmed that the courage of Rajasthan’s soldiers continues to command admiration in Israel. He made the remarks while addressing a public rally in Ajmer on Saturday.
“I returned from Israel yesterday. The people of Israel still recall with pride the bravery of Major Dalpat Singh, a son of Rajasthan. I had the honour of paying tribute to him in the Israeli Parliament,” he said.
The Prime Minister highlighted the historic contribution of Rajasthan’s troops in the liberation of Haifa. He stated that he acknowledged and honoured their sacrifice during his recent visit.
PM Modi reached Ajmer at approximately 11 AM and proceeded to Kayad Vishramsthal, where the gathering took place. Earlier, he inaugurated a Human Papillomavirus vaccination campaign for girls aged nine to fourteen.
The programme seeks to prevent cervical cancer. The government will, however, provide the vaccine free of charge.
Officials expect the initiative to save thousands of lives annually.
At the event, the Prime Minister distributed appointment letters under a major recruitment drive.
A total of 21,800 young candidates received government job confirmations. He personally handed letters to Ankita Meena from Kekri, appointed as a CHC Officer, and Mukesh Prajapat from Rupangarh, selected as a Junior Engineer.
Referring to recruitment reforms, Prime Minister Modi said Rajasthan once faced recurring examination paper leaks. He asserted that authorities have curbed such malpractice and initiated action against offenders.
PM described the distribution of over 21,000 appointment letters as a significant transformation.
Emphasising development, he noted that foundation stones were laid and projects worth ₹17,000 crore were inaugurated. He said these schemes would enhance public convenience and create employment for youth.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state is steadily advancing towards becoming a growth engine for a developed India. He further added that sustained central support has delivered major projects over the past two years.
In addition, he described the HPV campaign as a vital step towards safeguarding daughters and strengthening the nation.
The rally drew a large crowd, including many women. Sadhus and saints attended the programme, with a separate dais arranged for them.
Party workers greeted the Prime Minister with flags and slogans.
The visit combined diplomatic remembrance, public health reform, employment expansion, and infrastructure development in a comprehensive push for Rajasthan.
