PM Narendra Modi attended the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I on Monday, where the government presented the Padma Awards. The ceremony took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

PM Modi took to his social media handle to share and congratulate the Padma Awardees.
Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), PM Modi posted, “Attended the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I where the Padma Awards were presented. Outstanding individuals from all walks of life were honoured for their service and achievements.”

President Murmu Presents Padma Awards
President Murmu presented the awards to around 139 people.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan honoured a total of 139 people for their outstanding contributions in various fields, including art, medicine, sports, social work, literature, and science.
The list of 139 awardees includes 7 recipients of the Padma Vibhushan, 19 recipients of the Padma Bhushan, and 113 recipients of the Padma Shri.
Moreover, the awardees include 23 women, 10 foreign nationals (including NRIs, PIOs and OCIs) and 13 posthumous honourees.
The Padma Awardees will pay homage at the National War Memorial on April 29, 2025. They will also visit Rashtrapati Bhawan and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya.
The government confers the Padma awards, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan as three of the country’s highest civilian honours.
The government gives the awards in various disciplines, such as art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, and literature.
The Padma Shri award is the fourth-highest civilian award of the Republic of India after the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, and the Padma Bhushan.
PM Modi To Attend YUGM Conclave
Prime Minister Modi will participate in the YUGM Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital on Tuesday.
For the unversed, YUGM (meaning ‘confluence’ in Sanskrit) is a first-of-its-kind strategic conclave convening leaders from government, academia, industry, and the innovation ecosystem.
It will contribute to India’s innovation journey, driven by a collaborative project of around Rs 1,400 crore with joint investment from the Wadhwani Foundation and Government Institutions.
Meanwhile, the Conclave aims to catalyse large-scale private investment in India’s innovation ecosystem; accelerate research-to-commercialisation pipelines in frontier tech; strengthen academia-industry-government partnerships; advance national initiatives like ANRF and AICTE Innovation; democratize innovation access across institutions; and foster a national innovation alignment toward Viksit Bharat 2047.
