Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday lauded Andhra Pradesh’s reform initiatives and development model under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the 10th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting, calling it a blueprint worthy of national emulation.
“All states should examine and study the reforms of Andhra Pradesh,” said the Prime Minister, according to an official. “There could be many valuable inputs in the growth strategy presented by Chief Minister Naidu.”
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Naidu began by paying homage to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack on 22 April and praised the Armed Forces for the success of Operation Sindoor.
He also commended Prime Minister Modi’s strong leadership during the crisis, emphasising India’s resilience and increasing self-reliance in responding to terror threats.
CM Naidu praised the Prime Minister for guiding India from being the world’s 10th largest economy to its current position as the fourth largest.

He attributed this transformation to a series of visionary reforms, including Digital India, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Startup India, PM Gati Shakti, and the Jal Jeevan Mission.
“Having the right leader at the right time has played a crucial role in helping India pursue its national goals with confidence and clarity,” Naidu stated.
The central theme of the meeting, ‘Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat @2047’, set the tone for discussions aimed at building a prosperous, inclusive, and future-ready India by the time the nation marks its centenary.
The Council discussed strategies to accelerate entrepreneurship, boost employment, and transform Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities into key growth hubs.
Deliberations also covered ways to strengthen cooperative federalism and ensure unified progress across states.
CM Naidu presented Swarna Andhra @2047, the state’s roadmap to eliminate poverty by 2029 through the innovative P4 model, a partnership of public, private, and people-led efforts.
This initiative seeks to uplift vulnerable communities and drive sustainable economic growth.
To fast-track progress toward Viksit Bharat @2047, CM Naidu proposed forming three focused sub-groups of states, in partnership with the Union Government and NITI Aayog:
An aide to the Chief Minister stated that the proposals were well received and reflected the spirit of cooperative federalism championed by the NITI Aayog.
“The aim is to collectively advance towards a Viksit Bharat by 2047, with states playing a proactive and strategic role in national development,” the aide added.
