Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended birthday greetings to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, praising his leadership and saying the state is achieving remarkable progress across multiple sectors under his guidance.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Greetings to Maharashtra CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji on his birthday. Under his leadership, Maharashtra is scaling new heights of growth across diverse sectors. I pray for his long and healthy life.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his birthday wishes, saying that under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, Fadnavis has consistently promoted public welfare and good governance in Maharashtra. He prayed for his good health and a long life.

Born on 22 July 1970 in Nagpur, Devendra Fadnavis is serving his third term as the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra since December 2024. He previously served as Deputy Chief Minister in the Eknath Shinde-led government from 2022 to 2024 alongside Ajit Pawar and was Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly between 2019 and 2022.
Fadnavis became Maharashtra’s Chief Minister at the age of 44, making him the state’s second-youngest Chief Minister after Sharad Pawar.
Earlier, in 1997, CM Fadnavis became the youngest Mayor of Nagpur at the age of 27 and the second-youngest mayor in India’s history.
