Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday conveyed his birthday greetings to Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, acknowledging his sustained efforts to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said Bhupender Yadav has consistently worked to conserve biodiversity, safeguard forests and wildlife, and strengthen India’s response to climate change. He wished the Minister continued good health and many more years of service to the nation.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his greetings, describing Yadav as a dedicated leader who has made notable contributions to environmental preservation and climate-related initiatives while serving in the Union government.

Bhupender Yadav, the Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Alwar in Rajasthan, was born in Ajmer on 30 June 1969. He currently heads the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Union government.
Beginning his career as an advocate, Bhupender Yadav served as General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad between 2000 and 2009. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national leadership as National Secretary in 2010 and was promoted to National General Secretary four years later.
Over the years, Bhupender Yadav has managed the BJP’s election strategy in several crucial Assembly polls, including those in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. He also supervised the party’s campaign management for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Beyond politics, Yadav has authored ‘The Rise of the BJP’ and ‘Supreme Court on Forest Conservation’. He frequently writes on governance, environmental policy and legal affairs, contributing articles to newspapers and digital publications.
