Homage To Mahatma Gandhi At Rajghat
On September 10 PM Narendra Modi along with other international heads visited Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi.
World leaders paid homage
United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union (AU), Azali Assoumani, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Spain’s Vice-President Nadia Calvino, Minister of Economy of United Mexican States, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and also laid a wreath.
All the leaders who arrived for the Summit were welcomed with a Khadi shawl that had a cut out of Gandhi Ashram in the backdrop. The leaders would lant tree samplings at Rajghat and will later leave for the third session of the G20 summit at Bharat Mndapam.
The venue setup
The visuals surfacing showcased how beautifully the venue has been decorated with colorful flowers In preparation for the G20 Summit, security has also been ramped up in some areas of the national capital.
Additionally, the necessary arrangements were made in order to maintain traffic flow. Traffic Alert: Due to the implementation of Controlled Zone 2, buses will not run on the Ring Road between the ISBT Kashmiri Gate and Sarai Kale Khan. The Delhi Traffic Police tweeted that buses would run along the remaining section of the Ring Road as well as the other roads leading out of Delhi.
“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth · One Family · One Future.” is this year’s theme for the G20 summit that is being hosted under India’s presidency. All the world leaders gathered at Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Rghupati Raghav Raja Ram can be heard as the backdrop of the homage ceremony.
