In a significant campaign rally at MA Stadium on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a historic majority in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

This marks the first time the party anticipates forming a government with a full majority in the Union Territory.

PM Modi, addressing a large crowd, reflected on the rich heritage of Jammu, honoring influential figures such as Maharaja Hari Singh, Mehr Chand Mahajan, and Pandit Prem Nath Dogra.

He acknowledged the birth anniversary of martyr Bhagat Singh, paying tribute to his sacrifices.

This rally marks PM Modi’s fourth campaign visit to the region, and he emphasized that it would be his final address ahead of the Assembly elections.

He asserted that the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir have grown weary of the longstanding dominance of the National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress, which he accused of fostering corruption, terrorism, and violence.

PM Modi stated, “People want peace and a better future for their children, and that is the reason the people of J&K want a BJP government here.”

Additionally, he pointed to strong voter turnout in the preceding election phases as evidence of public enthusiasm for the party, confidently predicting the formation of the first full majority BJP government in J&K.

Highlighting the significance of the moment, PM Modi asserted, “Large participation in the last two phases proves that people have enthusiastically voted for the BJP, and now it is certain that the first full majority government of BJP is going to form in J&K.”

He urged the audience to seize this opportunity, emphasizing that Jammu has historically faced discrimination, which the BJP is committed to rectifying.

The rally showcased all 24 BJP candidates contesting in the Jammu, Samba, Kathua, and Udhampur districts, where voting will take place on 1 October.

PM Modi raised their hands in a gesture of victory, urging voters to support the BJP in the legislative assembly elections.

With 11 seats in Jammu, 6 in Kathua, 3 in Samba, and 4 in Udhampur, the Prime Minister’s fervent appeal seeks to galvanize the electorate ahead of the crucial third phase of voting.
