As the nation gears up for the crucial Lok Sabha elections, the sixth phase witnessed significant voter turnout in Uttar Pradesh. With voting underway for 14 Lok Sabha seats from 7 am, citizens showcased their democratic fervor, with an average turnout of 52.02 per cent recorded until 5 pm.

In a demonstration of civic duty, voters turned out in large numbers across various constituencies, indicating an active engagement in the electoral process. The highest voter turnout was observed in Ambedkar Nagar, with an impressive 59.53 per cent, underscoring the enthusiasm among voters to exercise their franchise.

However, Phulpur registered the lowest turnout at 46.80 per cent, highlighting the need for increased voter awareness and participation in certain areas. Nevertheless, the overall turnout reflects a healthy participation of citizens in shaping the democratic landscape of the state.

Queues of voters were reported at polling stations, symbolizing the eagerness of the electorate to make their voices heard. Importantly, the voting process transpired peacefully, signifying the effective management and security arrangements put in place by the authorities.

According to data released by the Election Commission, the voter turnout in various constituencies until 5 pm is as follows:

– Sultanpur: 53.60 percent
– Pratapgarh: 49.65 percent
– Phulpur: 46.80 percent
– Allahabad: 49.30 percent
– Ambedkar Nagar: 59.53 percent
– Shravasti: 50.62 percent
– Basti: 55.03 percent
– Sant Kabir Nagar: 51.11 percent
– Lalganj (SC): 52.86 percent
– Jaunpur: 52.65 percent
– Bhadohi: 50.67 percent

Security measures were implemented rigorously to ensure a safe and conducive environment for voters to cast their ballots. With polling stations open till 6 pm, citizens have ample time to participate in the electoral process and contribute to shaping the future trajectory of the nation.

The constituencies witnessing polling in this phase include Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Allahabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Shravasti, Domariyaganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Lalganj, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machhlishahr, and Bhadohi.
