Janasena Party (JSP) Chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced the launch of the ‘Narasimha Varahi Brigade’ on Saturday, a wing dedicated to defending Sanatana Dharma.
During an event in Jagannadhapuram, Pawan Kalyan stated, “While I respect all religions, I am steadfast in my faith. Those who insult Sanatana Dharma, especially on social media, will face consequences. The ‘Narasimha Varahi Brigade’ will ensure this.”
The announcement came as Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the ‘Deepam-2’ scheme, offering three free gas cylinders annually to 1.08 million eligible households in Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that this initiative, costing Rs 2,684 crore annually, reflects the government’s commitment to superior welfare.

Prioritizing women’s safety, Kalyan assured strict action against anyone threatening or harassing women. He also took aim at YSRCP members, accusing them of misusing social media to disrespect women and spread misinformation. “From now on, any abusive or defamatory posts against women will be met with stringent action,” he warned.
Pawan Kalyan shared his personal connection to the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, which he visited during a difficult period in 2009, and pledged to support its development. He noted that Rs 2.5 crore has been proposed for the temple’s construction and Rs 2 crore for a protective wall. Kalyan called for an investigation into unauthorized excavations near the temple and warned that those involved would be held accountable.
