Paper Leaks Should Not Become Political Issue, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged all states and political parties to work together to eradicate paper leaks, describing the issue as a challenge that affects the entire country.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the Prime Minister made these remarks while addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party’s Mangal Milan meeting in New Delhi.

Rijiju said the government acted immediately after reports of the NEET-UG paper leak came to light.

Investigating agencies arrested 13 accused, and the authorities conducted the re-examination without delaying the announcement of the results, ensuring that students’ academic future remained protected.

The Prime Minister also called on the legal fraternity to help secure the harshest possible punishment for those involved in examination paper-leak rackets, saying that strict penalties would discourage similar offences in the future.

PM Modi stressed that paper leaks should not become a political issue because they directly affect the country’s students and their future. He assured young people that the government would continue taking strong measures to prevent such incidents while creating opportunities for them to excel on the global stage.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated Skyroot Aerospace on the successful launch of Vikram-1, saying the achievement reflected the growing capabilities of India’s youth.

The Prime Minister added that the country’s efforts should remain focused on supporting and empowering young talent.

NDA Meeting and Economic Agenda

The NDA Parliamentary Party welcomed newly elected Rajya Sabha members during the meeting, including leaders who recently joined the BJP.

PM Modi highlighted India’s recent progress, including the signing of multiple Free Trade Agreements, which he said would strengthen the economy and benefit farmers.

Rijiju said the NDA would work in a coordinated manner during the ongoing Monsoon Session to ensure the smooth passage of government legislation. He also appealed to Opposition parties to cooperate in Parliament and prioritise the nation’s interests over political differences.
