India is the host country for the G20 Leaders Summit, taking place at the newly inaugurated Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on September 9-10.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, who served as Prime Minister for two terms from 2004 to 2014 under the Congress-led UPA government, is among the leaders invited to a G20 dinner on Saturday.

This election is seen as significant in the lead-up to polls in five states later this year and the looming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

The outcomes of the election are considered as a test for INDIA bloc against the BJP-led-NDA before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

Due to the summit, the New Delhi district will be a Controlled Zone-I from Friday at 5 am to Sunday at 11:59 pm.

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera questioned the BJP with a tweet tagging Vijay Goel, raising doubts about the intentions behind the poster.

On September 8 through 10, all public and private offices in Delhi will be closed, and the New Delhi district's banks and businesses, including markets, will also be closed.

With participation from 125 countries across ten sessions spanning two days, this landmark event provided a platform for participants to voice the concerns, ideas, challenges, and priorities of the developing world.

Presentations were made on various aspects, including human resource development, geographical coverage, MOU signings, and more.

Amit Sharma expressed satisfaction with the progress, particularly in the SWAN project, through inspections and field visits by department teams.
