The sacred confluence of Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati at Sangam Triveni is witnessing an extraordinary display of devotion and faith as saints, Kalpvasis, and devotees gather in large numbers to take the holy dip.
From 11 January to 16 January, over 7 crore pilgrims have immersed themselves in the holy waters, marking an unparalleled spiritual milestone.
On Thursday alone, more than 30 lakh devotees bathed, seeking virtue and divine blessings.
The Yogi government anticipates that over 45 crore people will attend the Maha Kumbh this year, with the early figure of 7 crore bathers suggesting that this projection will be met.
Despite the cold in Prayagraj, the enthusiasm and devotion of pilgrims remain unwavering.
Every day, lakhs of devotees from across India and the world are arriving in Prayagraj to bathe in the sacred Triveni Sangam with unwavering faith.
By 6 PM on Thursday, over 30 lakh people had bathed, including 10 lakh Kalpvasis, along with saints and devotees from both India and abroad.
The entire Maha Kumbh Mela area is witnessing a continuous influx of pilgrims.
Devotees Experience India’s Diverse Cultural Heritage While Taking Holy Dip
Devotees from different states in India and abroad are experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of the holy confluence. Maha Kumbh offers a vibrant glimpse of India’s diverse cultural heritage, uniting faith and traditions under one spiritual roof.
From 11 January to 16 January, over 7 crore people have taken a sacred dip.
On 11 January, before the event officially began, 45 lakh people bathed, and January 12 saw a record 65 lakh bathers.
In just two days leading up to the Maha Kumbh, over 1 crore people participated in the holy ritual.
On Paush Purnima, the first day of the Maha Kumbh, a record 1.70 crore pilgrims bathed.
On 14 January, during Makar Sankranti Amrit Snan, 3.50 crore devotees took the holy dip.
Over 5.20 crore devotees bathed in the first two days of the Maha Kumbh alone.
Additionally, on 15 January, 40 lakh bathers participated, and by 6 PM on 16 January, another 30 lakh had bathed, pushing the total number of bathers to over 7 crore.
