Highlighting the extreme condition face by pilgrims, diplomats on Tuesday noted that at least 550 pilgrim died.

Two Arab ambassadors coordinating their countries’ responses stated that 323 Egyptians were among the dead, with heat-related ailments accounting for the majority of their deaths.
Earlier it was reported that 41 Jordanians died. However, later the number was confirmed to be 60. The cumulative death toll from multiple countries now stands at 577, based on an AFP tally.
Eleven Iranians have died and 24 were hospitalized during the pilgrimage, Iranian state news outlet IRINN said on Tuesday without giving the causes of death.
A recent saudi study noted increase in temprature. The study highlighted that in the ritual area the temprature has been rising by 0.4 degree celsius per decade. On Monday, the temperature at Mecca’s Grand Mosque reached a blistering 51.8 degrees Celsius (125 Fahrenheit), according to the Saudi national meteorology center.
According to Saudi Press Agency, On Tuesday, Saudi Health Minister Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel announced that health plans for the Haj had been successfully implemented, preventing major disease outbreaks and public health threats.
Haj is annual Muslim Pilgrimage to Mecca City of Saudi Arabia, mandatory for the Muslims with means.
Haj, one of the largest mass gatherings in the world. It is a once-in-a-lifetime duty for able-bodied Muslims who can afford it. It will end on Wednesday.
