Not Caste-Based Politics, Digital Education Is Future For Youth: Dr. Rajeshwar Singh

Lucknow – MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh continued his efforts to provide digital resources and training platforms to the youth of Sarojini Nagar by inaugurating the fifth and sixth Ran Bahadur Singh Digital Education and Youth Empowerment Centers on Thursday. He opened the new centers at Scooter India First Gate, Kanpur Road, Sarojini Nagar, and Vijay Library Success Point at Hulli Kheda, Piparsand, near the Railway Station. During the inauguration, he also announced plans to install solar lights and hand pumps at the Hulli Kheda, Piparsand Center.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh equipped these centers with five computers, internet access, furniture, and other necessary resources funded through CSR contributions. He stated that these centers would offer free training in digital tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, OS, and Tally. They will also help local residents access government public welfare schemes, including pensions, Samman Nidhi, Ayushman Cards, Ration Cards, and the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme. The MLA aims to establish 100 such centers in Sarojini Nagar to ensure that all youth benefit from digital education. He will also introduce courses in data entry and video editing at these centers.

Caste-Based Politics Hinder Progress, Says Dr. Rajeshwar Singh

Addressing the crowd, MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh criticized caste-based politics for hindering youth progress. He expressed his commitment to fostering merit-based opportunities in Sarojini Nagar and creating a bright future for the youth. He emphasized that education surpasses caste, religion, and gender discrimination and is essential for advancing families, societies, and nations.

Dr. Singh highlighted the importance of digital education, noting that 20 years ago, people could not have imagined the widespread use of mobile phones and internet access. Today, India has 83 crore mobile phones, and this number is expected to rise to 120 crore in the next 3-4 years. He stressed that the digital revolution has redefined literacy and that digital skills are crucial for about 3 crore jobs expected to be created in the next three years.

Reflecting on the pandemic’s impact on education, Dr. Singh pointed out that the Corona period disrupted the studies of 9 out of every 10 children worldwide. In India, schools stayed closed for up to 82 weeks, affecting the education of over 28.6 crore students. Digital education became a vital support during this time and now forms a cornerstone for the youth’s future. Dr. Singh noted that 92% of jobs now require digital skills and that by 2026, about 3 crore workers will need to be proficient in digital skills, with 50% of the traditional workforce requiring reskilling.

The event saw the participation of Neha Rawat, Anoop Kumar, Vijay Kumar, BJP leader Nanak Chand Lakhmani, Rajesh Singh Chauhan, Shankari Singh, Councilor Ram Naresh Rawat, Geeta Devi, Kamlesh Singh, Saurabh Singh ‘Monu,’ Lavkush Rawat, Mandal President KK Srivastava, Shiv Kumar Singh ‘Chacchu,’ Bhuvanendra Singh Munna, Subhash Pasi, and other BJP leaders and local residents.
