Following a significant crackdown by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), now the Noida Police is taking decisive action against 18 individuals involved in the notorious Mahadev Betting App, widely known across the country.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, the Noida Police is invoking the Gangster Act against these 18 accused, who are alleged to have defrauded crores of rupees from unsuspecting victims.
The Central government, acting on ED’s request, has imposed a ban on the Mahadev betting app. This action comes after Noida Police, in coordination with other agencies, registered a case against the accused at Sector 39 police station.
In response to concerns raised by law enforcement, the Noida Police had previously communicated their recommendation to shut down the Mahadev betting app. This move is part of a broader effort to curb illegal activities associated with such apps.
The ramifications of this crackdown extend beyond legal measures, as several film stars find themselves under the scrutiny of various agencies due to their alleged involvement with the betting app.
