Nitish Kumar Meets Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary In First Post-Government Interaction

On Saturday, former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met the state’s current Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary in Patna. This marked their first interaction since the new government assumed office.

Sources said Nitish Kumar visited the Chief Minister’s residence at Deshratna Marg early in the day. The two leaders held a brief discussion lasting around 20 minutes.

Visuals from the meeting showed a cordial exchange, with both leaders sharing a warm greeting.

While officially described as a routine meeting, it is understood that the discussion touched upon governance priorities and the evolving political situation in the state.

Observers believe the interaction reflects an effort to ensure continuity and coordination within the administration.

The meeting is also seen as significant given Nitish Kumar’s long political experience and influence in Bihar politics, with some viewing it as a gesture of support for the new leadership.

Security arrangements around the Chief Minister have been intensified following a recent threat.

Authorities confirmed that an individual accused of issuing a death threat against Samrat Choudhary has been arrested from Ahmedabad.

In response, security has been strengthened at the Chief Minister’s native village residence in Munger district.

Police personnel have been deployed round the clock, with strict restrictions on entry and movement in the area.

Officials said these measures are precautionary, and further decisions will be taken based on ongoing assessments by senior authorities.
