In Bihar, Nitish Kumar sworn in as Chief Minister for the 9th time today. Earlier in the day, he resigned from the post after breaking the alliance with Lalu Yadav’s RJD and later formed a government with BJP’s support. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath, with BJP State President Samrat Chaudhary and Leader of Opposition Vijay Sinha appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers. CM Nitish, after taking oath, expressed thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Nitish Kumar’s January 28 tweet: “Expressing gratitude to Honorable PM Narendra Modi for his congratulations and good wishes on behalf of Bihar. Heartfelt thanks for the cooperation. With the NDA alliance, a new government in Bihar is formed, dedicated to serving the public. Our basic objective is to serve the people, and with the NDA coalition in both the Center and the state, we anticipate accelerated development for the betterment of the state’s people.”

Nitish Kumar stated that the cabinet of the new government will be expanded soon. He emphasized that there is no intention of going elsewhere, stating, “Brothers and sisters, we are back where we were, and now there is no question of going here and there.”

Eight ministers, representing all three parties and independents, took the oath

CM Nitish Kumar announced that today, 8 ministers, representing all three parties and independents, took oath in the government. Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha have been appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers, and further expansion of the cabinet is expected soon.
