Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on the second day of Navratri on Monday, October 12, offering prayers to Maa Ambika and seeking Maa Brahmacharini’s blessings for courage, determination and self-control.
In his first post on X, PM Modi shared a Sanskrit prayer dedicated to Maa Ambika, describing her as the supreme power that pervades the universe and embodies the powers of all gods.
The prayer seeks the Goddess’s blessings for the well-being of all.
The verse is associated with the Shakradi Stuti, also known as Indrakrit Stuti, in the fourth chapter of the Sri Durga Saptashati.
According to Hindu tradition, Indra and other gods offered these prayers after Goddess Durga defeated Mahishasura.
