Navratri Day 2: PM Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath Extend Greetings To Devotees

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday underscored the spiritual essence of Navratri, stating that devotion to Maa Ambe fills the mind with immense peace and positive energy.

Marking the second day of Chaitra Navratri, he shared his thoughts on the social media platform, noting that the atmosphere of faith and reverence deeply touches the heart.

Alongside his message, the Prime Minister shared a devotional aarti, ‘Aarti Ambe Tu Hai Jagdambe Kali’, sung by renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal. The four-minute video reflects the rich traditions and spiritual fervour associated with the festival, resonating with devotees across the country.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conveyed his greetings on the occasion.

In a message posted on X, he invoked Brahmacharini, praying for her blessings of courage, restraint, and spiritual strength for all devotees, while highlighting the importance of devotion and discipline during this sacred period.

The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini, one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, symbolising penance, devotion, and simplicity.

Depicted in a white saree and holding a rosary and a kamandal, her form represents unwavering determination and spiritual pursuit.

Devotees observe fasts and offer prayers seeking wisdom, strength, and inner peace, with many believing that her worship brings emotional balance and resilience.

Worshippers associate Goddess Brahmacharini with the Swadhishthana chakra and the planet Mars, and they believe her worship helps mitigate the effects of Mangal dosha.

Devotees also consider the colour green highly auspicious on this day, as it symbolises growth, harmony, and renewal. They widely wear green during rituals to invite positivity and stability into their lives.
