The Allahabad Obstetric and Gynecological Society under the agies of Federation of OB Gyn Societies of India, is going to organize a three days national conference “Scientific Sangam”, from December 15.
Talking to media persons organizing Chairperson Dr Ranjana Khanna, said that the main aim of this national conference is to create global awareness in various fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The chief guest on the occasion will be Dr Hrishikesh D Pai, President FOGSI who will inaugurate the conference At AMA Auditorium on December 16. Meanwhile the said conference will began on December 15 at the same venue which will be followed by four scientific workshops on how to conduct natural birthing.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Uma Jaiswal Secretary of The Allahabad Obstetric and Gynecological Society and joint organizing secretary of the said national conference said that keeping this in mind we thought of a confluence of obstetrics , gynecology along with a host of sub-specialties like Infertility which has assumed alarming proportion now because of late age of marriage. Besides we have urogynecological, Fetal Medicine, Endoscopy- both Laproscopy and Hysteroscopy. The latest addition is the fast emerging field of Cosmetic gynecology.
Dr Amrita Chaurasia, Associate Professor, Dept of obs & Gyne, MLN Medical college, Prayagraj and organizing secretary, said that this government initiative and aims at reducing rates of Caesarian section which will be followed by workshops on anti obesity, fetal medicine and cosmetic gynecology will also be organized.
Among those present were Dr Sabita Agarwal, Dr Shubha Panday.
