Naga Students Participate In Cleanliness Drive In Guwahati

The one-day drive was initiated as per a resolution adopted in the GENSU’s yearly resolution. The union informed that such drives would be conducted annually.

The Guwahati Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (GENSU) organized a day-long social work at Nagaland House in Guwahati on Saturday. Gensu informed that the cleanliness project was started by the Sangh in collaboration with the Nagaland House.

 

As part of the drive, students cleaned and decomposed organic waste within the premises of Nagaland House in Guwahati. It reported that the drive saw the participation of GENSU members, Nagaland House staff, Deputy Resident Commissioner, Ilika Zhimomi and officials of the Naga Students’ Union Guwahati (NSUG).

It informed that the initiative has helped in connecting students while also instilling in minds the need to keep the surrounding clean and igniting a sense of civic obligation among the public.
