In an emergency meeting held at Kalam Bhawan, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) affirmed that the Muslim community will warmly welcome the Kanwariyas, showing full faith and unity. Rejecting divisive attempts by Congress, Samajwadi, and other opposition parties, the forum assured that this year, as in previous years, a camp will be set up to provide Kanwariyas with flower showers, cold water showers, water, fruits, juice, langar, and a clean environment.
The meeting, held on Saturday evening in New Delhi, also connected participants from across the country via an online platform, including representatives from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, North East, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
The forum emphasized the need to counter the opposition’s agenda, which seeks to disrupt national harmony due to their frustration over continuous defeats. The MRM workers were urged to uphold social harmony and respond firmly to any attempts to harm the nation’s unity.
Speakers at the meeting, including activists, officers, educationists, doctors, and social workers, expressed their commitment to following the directives of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Shops and carts selling fruits, flowers, and refreshments will clearly display their names to ensure transparency and maintain social harmony.
The Muslim Rashtriya Manch assured that Muslim vendors would honor the purity requirements of Hindu faith, reinforcing the country’s Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb and preserving cultural respect.
The National Coordinator Board members, including Mohammad Afzal, Syed Raja Hussain Rizvi, Abu Bakar Naqvi, Varg Pachpor, and Girish Juyal, expressed confidence in setting up camps for the Kanwariyas. These camps will provide rest, refreshments, food, and pure water, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted pilgrimage.
The forum also condemned the opposition leaders, specifically Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, for their alleged attempts to disrupt national harmony by misrepresenting Yogi Adityanath’s orders. The Muslim community pledged to counter these efforts by respecting and supporting their Hindu brothers’ faith and dignity.
From the National Women’s Board, Dr. Shalini Ali, Reshma Hussain, Shamim Bano, and Shahnaz Afzal emphasized that in Islam, love for the country is paramount. They drew parallels to how the Hindu community provides water and sherbet during Muharram and maintains cleanliness during Ramadan, affirming that Muslim vendors will reciprocate with the same respect and care for the Kanwariyas.
Approximately 75 people, including Mohammad Afzal, Shahid Akhtar, Girish Juyal, Abu Bakar Naqvi, SK Muddin, Haji Sabreen, Mohammad Faiz, Shalini Ali, Tahir Hussain, Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi, Mazahir Khan, Thakur Raja Rais, Ilyas Ahmed, Khurshid Razaka, Reshma Hussain, Islam Abbas, Mehtab Alam, Mohammad Irfan, Shamim Bano, Tasneem Patel, Naseem Sultana, Mohammad Farooq, Imran Hussain, Mohammad Hasan Noori, Keshav Patel, Imran Chaudhary, Mohammad Alkas, Mohammad Azharuddin, Chandni Bano, Tahir Shah, Sufi Malang Shah, Shakir Hussain, Habib Mohammad Chaudhary, Mohammad Mustakim, Seema Javed, Kallu Ansari, and Anjum Ansari attended the meeting.
It is noteworthy that the Muslim community annually organizes camps and langars for Lord Shiva devotees, providing refreshments and support along their journey. This tradition of hospitality and mutual respect showcases the strength of India’s unity, as Indian Muslims continue to uphold national harmony despite opposition efforts.
