Life is unpredictable but this murder mystery case of Mizoram is even more unpredictable. One thing led to another and Mizoram Ghost Hunters actually ended up helping police in solving a murder case.

The incident took place while two YouTuber brothers were streaming line on the social media platform. They were on a  ghost-hunting expedition into the Jhumlands near the Tlawng River at Dihmunzawl near Aizawl on Friday (June 30) night. Just like a movie scene, one of the brothers stumbled upon a highly decomposed body. The incident was really gross to watch for the viewers.

As soon as the boy got up after falling he was shocked and so was his brother. “We have explored eerie surroundings many times before, and I was never scared. But stumbling upon a lifeless body was something I had never expected. It startled me like nothing else,” recounted one of the ghost hunters. They immediately informed the Aizawl Police, who sent a squad of officers to the area without delay. Later forensic investigations found evidence of wrongdoing, which prompted the police to open a thorough inquiry.

The investigation went on like this

Vanlalllawma, 55, was identified as the deceased; his last known whereabouts was Lunglei town in southern Mizoram. According to authorities, he had a head injury on the back of his head that appeared to have been caused by a blunt object.

After a protracted manhunt, the police managed to capture two key suspects, a man, and a woman, at 1 pm on Saturday, 45 km east of Aizawl. According to the police, both suspects have admitted to the crime.

According to a police official, Lalroliana, the suspect, killed the victim with a wooden club in a fit of rage, and the murder was motivated by jealousy. Lalroliana and his partner Lalsiampuii have been detained by the police.
