The Alumni Welfare Association of Motilal Nehru Medical College is all set to host its annual alumni meet, Milan-2024, on December 22 with great enthusiasm. This year’s event will see the participation of alumni from various batches, with a special focus on the Golden Jubilee (fourteenth batch) and Silver Jubilee (thirty-ninth batch) celebrations. Dr. Arun Kumar and Dr. BP Agarwal are serving as the secretaries for the Golden Jubilee batch, while Dr. Hemant Krishna Maurya and Dr. Rajesh Kumar Rai are representing the Silver Jubilee batch.
Inaugural Ceremony And Distinguished Guests
Dr. Jyoti Bhushan, the President of the Alumni Welfare Association, shared with journalists that the event will be graced by notable personalities. Dr. Vatsala Mishra, the Patron and Principal of Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj, will also be in attendance.

The ceremony will be inaugurated by Dr. PA Singh, Former Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology at the college, alongside the Chief Guest, Dr. KG Singh, Former Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology.
Awards And Honors For Distinguished Medical Professionals
A highlight of the event will be the recognition of leading medical professionals for their exceptional contributions to the field of medicine. Professors AK Srivastava and Santosh Saxena will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for their invaluable contributions to the medical community. Additionally, Dr. Harish Srivastava and Dr. Mohit Jain will receive accolades for their significant contributions to the Alumni Welfare Association.
Special Initiative For MBBS Toppers
In a bid to encourage and honor academic excellence, the association will present Eco cycles to the MBBS toppers of all four years. This year’s recipients include Shreya Gupta (First Year), Shaurya Singh (Second Year), Harshit Choubey (Third Year), and Saumya Singh (Final Year). Dr. Sharad Jain, Vice President of the Alumni Welfare Association, mentioned that this initiative aims to promote sustainability while recognizing the hard work of these outstanding students.
Promoting Health Education And Social Activities
This year, the association has organized several health-related educational seminars for the benefit of both alumni and students. Dr. Jain emphasized that Milan-2024 not only serves as a platform for celebrating alumni achievements but also as an opportunity for the Motilal Nehru Medical College community to engage in meaningful social activities and contribute to the betterment of healthcare education.
