Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the dedication and achievements of India’s youth during the 136th edition of his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat. He said young Indians are making the country proud through their excellence in science, innovation and various other fields.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the abilities of India’s younger generation and said their creativity, determination and hard work are helping the nation move towards the goal of a developed India.

PM Modi highlighted the successful launch of Vikram-1, calling it a significant milestone for India’s space sector. He said the mission represented a historic achievement as it became the first rocket developed by the country’s private sector under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Prime Minister Modi praised young innovators involved in the project, saying they achieved a remarkable feat through their skills, commitment and patience.
PM Modi said the decision to open the space sector to private companies created new opportunities for talented youngsters who previously had limited avenues to contribute.
The Prime Minister also recognised the impressive performances of Indian students in international Science Olympiads. He said students participating in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics competitions demonstrated exceptional talent and brought honour to the nation.
PM Modi highlighted India’s outstanding performance in the Physics Olympiad, where all five members of the Indian team secured gold medals, helping the country achieve the top position. He further noted that Indian participants delivered their strongest-ever performance in the Chemistry Olympiad, with every contestant winning a gold medal.
Students also earned medals, including gold, in the Biology Olympiad, while the Mathematics Olympiad saw Indian students secure two gold medals and four silver medals.
PM Modi said these achievements reflect the growing confidence and capabilities of India’s youth. He expressed pride in the nation’s young talent and encouraged more students to take part in Olympiads, hackathons and innovation-based programmes.
The Prime Minister said the passion and achievements of young Indians will continue to strengthen India’s global reputation in science, technology and innovation while contributing to the country’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
