Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with citizens through the 134th instalment of his monthly radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, on Sunday.
The broadcast will commence at 11 AM and will be available on All India Radio (Akashvani), DD News and official government online channels.
In the previous broadcast on 27 April, the Prime Minister highlighted the National Archives of India’s efforts to digitise historical records through the Abhilekh Patal Portal. The initiative has made millions of archival documents accessible to the public through a single digital platform.
Speaking about the project, PM Modi noted that modern technology is playing an increasingly important role in bringing India’s historical legacy closer to present and future generations. He said the initiative enables easier access to valuable records that were once available only through physical archives.
The Prime Minister also referred to several rare treasures hosted on the portal, including seventh-century Gilgit manuscripts inscribed on Bhoj Patra and the unique eighth-century work ‘Shri Bhuvalay’, which is structured using numerical patterns.
During the same programme, PM Modi applauded the achievement of Sanjana Philo Chacko from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, for securing a silver medal at the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) 2026 in Bordeaux, France. He praised her accomplishment as a reflection of the talent and dedication demonstrated by Indian students on the global stage.
Sanjana earned her place in the Indian team after successfully progressing through a demanding national selection process.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Kalari cheese, a well-known speciality from Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district.
Popularly known as the ‘Mozzarella of Kashmir’, the product gained wider recognition after receiving international acclaim at a cheese competition held in Brazil.
Following its mention in ‘Mann Ki Baat’, producers reported a substantial increase in demand, bringing greater attention to the region’s traditional food heritage.
A Platform for Inspiring Stories
Over the years, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has also evolved into a prominent platform for celebrating achievements, promoting innovation and sharing stories of individuals making meaningful contributions to society.
The forthcoming episode will likely highlight inspiring stories that showcase the country’s progress and aspirations.
