Prayagraj: Yogi government is continuously working to give a grand, divine and new form to the Mahakumbh in the Kumbh city Prayagraj. The state  government is arranging world class facilities to accommodate more than 41 crore devotees and tourists coming to Mahakumbh. For this arrangements are being made for their stay in the Kumbh area, five star hotels are also being built there. Along with this, the facility of heritage hotel will also be provided to give a different experience to the tourists.

The Tourism Department is developing a heritage hotel to provide a different experience to the tourists arriving at Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh says that there has been a proposal to convert two heritage sites in the district into heritage hotels, on which final approval has been given. The Department has received a proposal from Planters in Soraon  and Shagun Nilayam in Mumford Ganj to develop their heritage as a heritage hotel, on which principle consent has been reached.

There was a proposal to develop ten rooms of Shagun Nilayam and 200 acres of area of Soraon Planters as heritage hotel, work on which is going on. Apart from this, work is underway on an action plan to develop many private heritage sites into heritage hotels before the Mahakumbh.
Two five-star hotels are also being built to provide world-class accommodation facilities to the foreign tourists coming to the Mahakumbh. According to the Regional Tourism Officer, the main reason why foreign tourists generally do not stay at night in Prayagraj is the lack of provision of five-star hotels here. In such a situation, he usually goes straight to Varanasi after seeing the Sangam and taking a bath.

In view of this, Yogi government is working on developing five star hotels. According to him, recently two big companies have been given consent to open hotels in Prayagraj, which include Taj and Radisson hotels. These will be built by Radisson Group near Taj Hotel and YMCA College in Munfordganj of the city.

These groups had applied for this in the tourism department’s portal, after which he was given a certificate after inspecting the place. Along with the opening of new five star hotels by the private sector in the city, the tourism department is also rejuvenating its hotels. Hotel Rahi Ilavart and Hotel Rahi Triveni Darshan are being expanded with beautification at a cost of Rs 907.08 lakh.
