
As part of the Maha Kumbh 2025 celebrations, Uttar Pradesh has launched five new spiritual corridors, aimed at increasing accessibility to prominent religious sites and attracting more pilgrims to the state.
In addition, these corridors are designed to provide smooth and convenient travel routes for devotees visiting sacred destinations, thereby further promoting Uttar Pradesh as a hub of spiritual tourism.
Key Spiritual Corridors In Uttar Pradesh
- Prayagraj-Vindhyachal-Kashi Corridor
This route connects Prayagraj to Vindhyachal Devi Dham and Kashi (Varanasi), offering a spiritual journey through key Shakti and Shiva pilgrimage sites.
Furthermore, it provides an easy and well-connected path for devotees seeking blessings at these sacred locations, ensuring a seamless travel experience for all.
- Prayagraj-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Corridor
Linking the sites of Lord Ram, this corridor allows devotees to visit the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, followed by the holy city of Ayodhya for Ram Lalla’s darshan.
The route continues to Gorakhpur, home to the revered Gorakhnath Temple, enhancing pilgrimage connections across Uttar Pradesh.
- Prayagraj-Lucknow-Naimisharanya Corridor
This corridor takes pilgrims from Prayagraj to Naimisharanya, an ancient sacred site associated with Lord Vishnu and other deities.
Devotees can also visit the holy city of Lucknow, further enriching their spiritual journey.
- Prayagraj-Rajapur (Banda)-Chitrakoot Corridor
Rooted in Lord Ram’s exile, this corridor connects Prayagraj to Chitrakoot Dham, which is significant for Ram devotees.
It also passes through Rajapur, the birthplace of Tulsidas, offering a cultural and spiritual experience.
- Prayagraj-Mathura-Vrindavan-Shuk Teerth Corridor
Connecting Prayagraj to Mathura and Vrindavan, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, this corridor also leads to Shuk Teerth, a revered meditation site of Maharishi Shukracharya.
Pilgrims can explore the divine sites of Lord Krishna’s childhood and spiritual pastimes.
CM Yogi’s Vision for Spiritual Tourism
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of these new corridors in boosting Uttar Pradesh’s spiritual tourism.
During his visit to Prayagraj, he not only acknowledged the dedicated efforts of local authorities but also emphasized the state’s key role in improving accessibility to spiritual tourism.
Furthermore, he stressed how these efforts will significantly enhance the pilgrim experience, ensuring easier travel and stronger connections to the region’s sacred sites.
By enhancing infrastructure and connecting key pilgrimage sites, Uttar Pradesh is ushering in a new era of spiritual tourism, welcoming devotees from across the world.
