Maha Kumbh 2025: Multilingual Signages Installed For Devotee Convenience, Preparations Underway

With preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, the government installed over 1,400 multilingual signages throughout the city and fairgrounds.

In a bid to make the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj the grandest celebration of Sanatan Dharma, the Yogi government is leaving no stone unturned. With millions of devotees expected to visit the holy Triveni Sangam, the government has installed over 1,400 multilingual signages throughout the city and fairgrounds.

Of these, 610 signages are strategically placed in the city, while 800 have been set up within the fairgrounds. These signages are designed to help devotees from across the country and the world navigates the vast event area effortlessly.

Beautification & Thematic Decorations For Maha Kumbh 2025

The city of Prayagraj has undergone a remarkable transformation, with vibrant and thematic decorations adorning every corner. From the captivating thematic lighting to intricately designed facade lighting, pillars, installations, murals, and artworks, the city has turned into a visual feast. These enhancements are intended to instil a sense of pride and awe among the visitors, amplifying the cultural significance of the event.

Preparations With Signage & Lighting Progress

The Public Works Department (PWD) has completed the installation of signages within the city, while over 90% of the signages within the fairgrounds are already in place. This ensures that visitors from all linguistic backgrounds can find their way with ease.

The Municipal Corporation has made significant strides in installing 3,540 decorative poles for thematic lighting, with 95% of them now in place. The brilliance of the lighting is already captivating both residents and visitors.

Additionally, the Tourism Department has nearly completed facade lighting at all eight designated heritage sites, adding an extra layer of charm to the city’s religious and historical landmarks.

Maha Kumbh Showcases Cultural Heritage

The Cultural and Development Section (C&DS) is responsible for installing cultural-themed pillars at 84 locations, with more than 90% of them already in place. These pillars highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The thematic installations across four designated sites are also finalized, further elevating the city’s aesthetic appeal.

The Prayagraj Mela Authority has made a significant contribution to the beautification efforts, installing artwork spanning a vast 15 lakh square feet within the fairgrounds.

Furthermore, mural paintings covering 0.33 lakh square feet are nearing completion. These installations create a distinctive and vibrant atmosphere, enriching the spiritual experience of the devotees who attend Mahakumbh 2025.
